Government approves 2011 blueprint budget
Yerevan, September 4, /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today a blueprint text version of next year’s budget and the schedule of relating discussions with participation of prime minister Tigran Sarkisian that are to kick off September 6.
Finance minister Tigran Davtian asked heads of ministries and agencies to submit their remarks and suggestions over the blueprint and financing volumes within one week. He said consultations with prime minister will help to discuss all disagreements.
He said the blueprint was developed on the basis of the mid-term spending program and that is why the ministries and government agencies can not submit bids for new programs.
The 2010 budget, passed by the parliament in 2009 December, calls for 742 billion Drams in revenues and 935 billion Drams in spending. The deficit is projected at 193.4 billion Drams.
