Avan Marak Tsapatagh Hotel
Location: Lake Sevan, Armenia
Located some 40 miles (65 kilometers) from the Lake Sevan peninsula in Armenia, this luxuriously designed guest mansion is situated in a quiet location and its staff is dedicated to exceptional customer service. It is the growing combining of traditional Armenian rural life and the resort atmosphere – that Tufenkian has mastered – that has made Lake Sevan one of Armenia’s most popular tourist destinations.
In keeping with the Tufenkian Heritage Hotels’ concept of creating lodgings that compliments the surrounding environment, Avan Marak Tsapatagh is built from local rocks that outcrop near the village’s hills. Therefore, the hotel’s appearance is not intrusive: it blends with the natural surroundings.

Walnut cupboards and walk-in closets are provided with wrought-iron hand-made clothes hangers. Beds feature wrought-iron headboards, Sealy Crown Jewel mattresses, and Frette sheets. The spacious bathrooms, made of green stone, feature shower stalls with glass enclosures.

Zanazan even welcomes guests to help prepare their own meals in the restaurant, truly immersing themselves in the Armenian cuisine and culture.
The facilities at the Tsapatagh lend themselves well to weddings, baptisms, and other traditional family ceremonies. Furthermore, folkloric events such as Trndez, Tsakhkazard, and Vardavar are celebrated with traditional rituals. For outdoor-minded sports enthusiasts, activities may include hiking, sailing, and riding. Boat trips on the lake may also be organized. Other amenities include a swimming pool, health spa, and beach facilities.

General Information about Old Dilijan Complex
The complex is situated in the town of Dilijan, the northern part of Armenia (Tavoush region).
Tavoush region is known for its picturesque landscape, mild climate and many historic sites. Here you can enjoy activities such as shopping for crafts and souvenirs, taste traditional Armenian dishes, visit Tufenkian showroom, go for hike or just relax in our cozy guest house.
In late 19th, early 20th century, life in Dilijan went through many changes due to its scenic beauty and natural environment. Significant trade began with Baku, which at that time was the regional commercial center, as well as cultural exchange was established with Tblisi- cultural centre of the region; also, many rich families from these major cities started spending their vacations in Dilijan’s many summerhouses and guesthouses.
Two-storied tiled wooden homes with detailed carved balconies had become quite common as Dilijan’s typical architecture; some of which can still be seen on the historic Sharambeyan street, which has been restored by Tufenkian.
Sharambeyan street has been preserved as an “Old Town Dilijan” complete with craftsmen’s workshops, small shops with traditional Armenian products and crafts, museum, showing a typical 19th century home with all its locally made furnishings, guest house and a Tufenkian Restaurant.

Each room features old style furniture, Sealy Crown Jewel mattresses, and famous hand-made Tufenkian Armenian Carpets.
The “Old Dilijan” restaurant features traditional Armenian dishes, creatively reinterpreted and expanded by the Tufenkian culinary team.
